What is Henry Smith House?

Our Mental Health Services in Hertfordshire have been working for over 20 years to meet people’s different needs through using a person-centered and goal setting approach.

We run a range of group activities and courses, to help people on the road to recovery. Our services help clients feel better, more confident, less isolated, more active and more able to manage their condition. We always focus on people, not problems, enabling us to give the best possible support.

Is Henry Smith House for me?

If you have a mental health issue, you can join us by self-referral or through your Social Worker, Community Psychiatric Nurse or Psychiatrist.

All of our client programs are based on the Recovery Star Model.  Each individual sets goals jointly with their link worker during Recovery Star review sessions.

Some people who have had enduring mental health issues, over a long period of time require long term support to stay well and keep out of hospital.

You can come along to the centre and express your creative side with arts and craft, learn some relaxation techniques, join us at our allotment, or get out and about with our walking group.

You will receive support from your link-worker and gain confidence and skills through our groups and courses.
