Two years ago, whilst struggling with depression, I chanced upon No.10 Leeming Road. Despite also suffering from acute anxiety I entered and found myself in a painting class. Since then painting with Guideposts has played a significant part in my recovery. Having completed a triathlon to celebrate my 50th birthday, and for the two subsequent years, I have not exercised whilst ill and only now feel well enough to resume. Exercising with a goal is a part of my recovery and so I have registered for two sprint triathlons, Blenheim on June 3rd and London in August 5th. I will swim 700m in open water, cycle 20k and then run 5k. To spur me on I would like to raise money for Guideposts so that they can continue to provide the support for mental health in the community that some larger charities cannot provide.

For those who are unable to donate your presence on the day will help encourage me. Details on how to spectate can be found on the Blenheim and London Triathlon websites.
