Our learners at Guideposts Work Training Project in Ware (Hertfordshire) have had a really busy summer this year. They've had the fantastic opportunity to run the Krazy Sands Shop at the Paradise Wildlife Park in Broxbourne and gain invaluable retail and customer service experience in a busy retail environment. These kind of opportunities are really important to our learners. They help them develop vital confidence, self-esteem, social and practical skills and give them a chance to build a stronger CV and even find work.

Eleven adults with learning disabilities have taken part in Guideposts Work Training program this year. They have all made incredible progress and three have already found paid work.

This wouldn't be possible without the support of local partners such as Paradise Wildlife Park. Paradise Wildlife Park is a beautiful family attraction located  off the Junction 25 of the M25. The park is suitable for all ages and fully accessible. The Park is a great supporter of education and training and runs a very successful volunteer program that offers a range of training opportunities for people with a range of abilities.

We would like to say a BIG THANK YOU to the Paradise Wildlife Park and to their volunteer co-ordinators, Barbara and Jenna who have been very supportive of our work. We are very grateful for the opportunities they have given to all our learners and look forward to joining them again in 2018!
