Our Work Training Programme's learners in Ware have joined the team at Premier Inn Ware to take part in a 12 week work experience scheme. The scheme is giving them a unique chance to learn all about the hospitality trade. They have already had the chance to work with the housekeeping team, learning all about cleaning rooms and making beds and also what it takes to keep customers happy in a busy hotel.

These kind of experiences are invaluable for our learners, giving them a unique chance to develop their skills and confidence, and be a functioning part their community. Working with others helps them develop vital social skills, whilst cleaning and preparing the hotel for its clientele provides them with a greater sense of achievement; feeling valued for a job well done.

For over 20 years, Guideposts Work Training Programme has been running to enable people with learning disabilities to achieve their aspiration to work, and this would not be possible without the help and support of local partners such as Premier Inn Ware.

A BIG THANK YOU from everyone at Guideposts and from all our learners Becks, Chris, George, Jess, Pheobe and Steven who also wanted to say how grateful they are to Rachel Luis – Operations Manager at Premier Inn Ware for giving them this fantastic opportunity.
